It seemed smaller than I expected-- THE FRAME IS INCLUDED IN THE 11 X 17 MEASUREMENT, SO WRITING SURFACE IS ABOUT AN INCH LESS THAN YOU THINK. This review is from: Quartet Porcelain Whiteboard, 4 x 6 Feet, Aluminum Frame (PPA406) (Office Product) I bought this whiteboard because it was the size I needed: 4x6 and because it was porcelain on steel rather than melamine. It has a plain aluminum border and a tray. It cost less than fancier boards in this size which can fetch up to five hundred dollars (twice the price I paid). It arrived by freight in a battered box, but managed to avoid any damage. It's comprised of a masonite backer board, a thin steel sheet with the porcelain finish and the aluminum border that holds the edges together. I haven't had it long enough to know whether the porcelain finish is as durable as I'll need it to be. The only complain I have is the flatness of the board is poor. I hung it by the pre-installed slotted holes in the back. I used two sturdy 50 pound wall anchors. The problem is the board does not lie flat against the wall, nor does it stay flat. No problems with 'ghosting' and the magnetic surface works great with magnetic 'push pins' or the common 'refrigerator' magnetic. Flatness has not been a problem...as a developer, I read the review from Ben and wish I could tell him that it's probably the wall that is crooked, not his board....common problem. Update on 6 December....well, I'm still waiting for delivery. Ordered two more boards on the 21st, and have not yet received them. Further, the Amazon web site says that they were delivered....before I ordered them even!! And to an address in Tucson....I live in Las Vegas. Home Direct is supposed to be bringing them, so I sit on hold waiting for their customer service to pick up....still a great board, but think I'll go down to the local Biz Supply store and try to buy, even if it costs a bit more. If you follow The Biggest Loser and are trying to reach your goal weight but sometimes find your motivation lagging, this big board, and it is big and "in your face," will probably help a lot. It's a week by week planner, with 3 sections: "Steady State Cardio," "Interval Cardio," and "Circuit Training." It gives you a 1 � high by 3 � wide space to write in your achievements for the day in all 3 categories, with the Monday through Sunday going from top to bottom. At the end of the week you can perhaps add another notch to the "temperature gauge" design on the right side, where you write in how close you're getting to your goal. This board is meant for people doing the exercise plan, and The Biggest Loser also makes a board for your dieting, "My Daily Meal Planner," and you lose a lot more weight if you write down what you're eating. It's the "awareness factor." At the end of the week, you can wipe it all off with a damp paper towel, and it cleans up beautifully and easily... This review is for the Expo biggest loser exercise schedule white board. I was pleased with the quality of this product overall. Make sure to use it with true erasable markers, NOT permanent markers, or you will quickly be sorry! While the product is intended for planning exercise schedules, I actually ended up using it to a greater extent for taking random notes (e.g. phone numbers, etc) while talking on the phone in my kitchen!
