Reasons for 4 star rating
1.Purchased @ $55.19 + Free two day shipping (Amazon Student) = Good deal (i.e. try to find another 36" x 48" melamine board for $55.19 with shipping...you won't.) Amazon student is free for 1 year if you are a current student with .edu email address at an accredited university.
2.Arrived undamaged in mail. Only ordered one and it was packaged very well. Frame was not bent in any way. For the price it is very sturdy.
3.Easy installation into dry wall. It comes with top and bottom mounting brackets so board is flush with the wall, and will not wobble. Instructions called for drill, but didn't have one so made due with a hole punch. You will also need a Phillips and flat head screw driver, a level, and a hammer. I couldn't find anything locally in this size at anywhere near this price, but the compromises are:
- lightweight construction, although the writing surface is perfectly serviceable
- cardboard packaging is not designed for individual shipment via UPS, and therefore the aluminum frames get mangled in various ways during transport.
We were able to simply bend them back to form a reasonably flat surface; as long as they are usable it doesn't seem worth returning them and then having the replacements get damaged in a different way.
Best cheap whiteboard I could find.
