Martin Yale Model 1601 Tabletop Ease-of-Use AutoFolder, Folds up to 9,000 sheets/hr, Grey (PRE1601) Reviews
This review is from: Martin Yale Model 1601 Tabletop Ease-of-Use AutoFolder, Folds up to 9,000 sheets/hr, Grey (PRE1601) (Office Product)
It works great, it folded brocher paper which is semi-glossy. It does take a little time get it aligned but not to bad once you know how to do it. It needs a brocher setting, it does C-folds but the marked settings for it do not divided the folds equally. I had to figure that out trial and error. It has not jammed yet but a piece of paper got stuck inside and I had to take it apart (6 screws) and I had to figure out which ones.
Overall, it has been a big hit, no one wants to fold by hand.

But.... the folds are never as precise as I'd like them to be. They are off by about 1/16th of an inch, no matter how much we play with the adjustments. That said, it's well worth buying this machine. No more paper cuts! Don't expect it to fold 9,000 sheets an hour. You have to hold small stacks of sheets -- roughly 100 pages in each and angle them properly for the machine to work. I doubt anyone could do that 90 times in an hour. I'd say expect to fold between 2500 to 3000 sheets in an hour. Which is much better than you can do manually.

Warning if you live overseas do not buy this product from USA, the power supply is different in other countries. I received the product & it overheated & cut out after doing 20 brochures had my tech look at it & found fan not connected, refitted fan & once again did about 30 brochures & would keep cutting out. Next day fuse blew & motor burnt out. Contact Martin Yale who advised they would send new motor to fix however they then asked about what power supply was & advised 240 volts was to high for the machine & it was my fault that motor burnt out & machine not covered under warranty. How can Amazon & Ace depot sell a product that they should hav known that was not suitable for the country it was being
First time Amazon user & would never trust them or do it again. out of pocket $1,000!!!!!!!!
